How accessible are the websites and apps of Dutch governmental organizations? This Annual Digital Accessibility Monitor 2023 provides insight into the numbers, but also into the world behind the numbers.
In the Netherlands, 4.5 million people cannot participate in the digital society properly. It is necessary to make government digital channels usable, accessible and user-friendly for them as well. Since 2018, government organizations have been legally obliged to publish digitally accessible information. And since July 2023, the Digital Government Act (Wdo) has been in force, which offers new opportunities for further steps.
